Step 1: Complete the Initial Enrollment Application
Begin by filling out the Initial Enrollment Application. Or if you are referring a student, please fill out the Student Referral Form. If you have any questions during this process, don’t hesitate to reach out via email at info@heartlandhighschool.org. Once we’ve reviewed your application, we’ll contact you to schedule an interview.

Step 2: Participate in an Interview
This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about Heartland. We encourage honesty and openness during this conversation, as our school fosters a nonjudgmental and supportive environment. Together, we’ll determine if Heartland is the right fit for your family. If it is, we’ll invite you to complete the full enrollment packet.

Step 3: Complete the Enrollment Packet
The enrollment packet includes additional forms such as waivers, health and demographic information and academic details. You and your student will also review the student handbook and sign an acknowledgment of the rules and regulations for Heartland High School.

Step 4: Submit Academic Transfer Records
This allows us to request academic records from your previous school. The transfer process typically takes a few days, so prompt submission will help expedite your student’s enrollment.

Step 5: Prepare to Start at Heartland High School
Once we’ve received transcripts and other academic records, we’ll finalize your student’s individualized education plan and provide a start date.
